Our Team

Igor is a serial entrepreneur and investor who has built and scaled businesses across industries and geographies for more than three decades. A chemical engineering graduate, he founded his first business in 1989 and went on to build Neftyanoi, establish Lukoil-Neftekhim and, with Yuri Milner, build a stake of more than 30% in Mail.ru. After moving to the UK in 2009, he founded Delin Capital, launching Delin Property in 2011 and Delin Ventures in 2015. Today he chairs the Investment Committee of each Delin business.

Jean is a private equity investor with more than 20 years of experience in growth investing across Europe. He is a Partner at Palamon Capital Partners, the pan-European firm with €2.5 billion invested, bringing deep expertise in scaling founder-led businesses, fundraising, governance and operational transformation. He has served on boards including Thomas, mydentist, Towry, The Rug Company, Simplify and Redpin. Before Palamon, he spent eight years at Bain & Company. Jean graduated from ESSEC and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Matt joined Delin in 2026 as CFO and COO of Delin Capital and Delin Ventures, and leads the Ventures team alongside Ashwin. He previously held the same roles at Bermont Advisors and then Tema ETFs, which he took from inception to $1 billion of assets under management. Earlier, he was Fund Controller at SV Health Investors, a life sciences venture firm, after five years at PwC. He began his career at GSK. Matt is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and holds an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Leeds.

Carol is a pharmaceutical executive with more than 25 years of global experience. After leadership roles at Novartis, she joined Sandoz as Global Head of Biopharmaceuticals, growing the business to $1 billion in annual sales and leading the first approval and launch of a biosimilar in the US. She went on to become President of Sandoz US and Head of North America, and later Chief Business Officer. Carol is Chair of uMed and sits on the board of AdThera Bio, both in the Delin portfolio.

Jonathan has been with Delin for over 20 years and led the founding of Delin Ventures, where he is a Partner. He was the founding CEO of Swarm Oncology and sits on the boards of Swarm, Ori Biotech, Athernal Bio, AdThera Bio and Agile Analog. Before Delin, he worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, Harvard and the World Bank. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the Steklov Mathematical Institute, a JD from Harvard Law School, and degrees from Williams College and Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.

Ashwin is a corporate finance professional with ten years of experience. As Chief of Staff at Delin Capital since 2021, he leads the Delin Ventures team alongside Matt and supports the group across investment, strategy, operations and people, including its internal AI tools. Before Delin, he was Director and Head of Investment at Meta Aerospace Capital, a private equity firm focused on defence intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance. He began his career in Citi's UK M&A team. Ashwin holds a first-class BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Jakub joined Delin Capital in 2020 and oversees financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow and controls across the group, including the Ventures portfolio. He brings nearly 20 years of finance experience, including almost 13 years as Group Financial Controller of an international family office in London. He began his career as a private banker at BRE Bank in Poland. A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), Jakub holds an MSc in Finance from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Pavel leads AI and transformation at Delin, helping the firm and its portfolio companies put AI to work across investment, operations and day-to-day workflows. He is also co-founder of Axora, which deploys enterprise-grade AI solutions for businesses and governments. Pavel knows Delin well: he spent nearly five years as an Investment Associate at Delin Ventures, leading due diligence and reviewing more than 300 startups. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School, including an exchange at Kellogg, and a BA in History from the University of Oxford.

Matt is a biotech investor focused on early-stage healthcare and life sciences. He joined Delin Ventures in 2021 and works across investment, venture creation and portfolio strategy. He co-founded AdThera Bio, the early-stage cell therapy CDMO in the Delin portfolio, where he leads strategy and finance and serves as a Director. Before Delin, Matt spent three and a half years at Boston Consulting Group in Johannesburg and New York. A Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, he holds degrees in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University.

Crystal joined Delin in October 2026 as an Investment Associate, supporting sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting scientific and commercial diligence, and working closely with portfolio companies across the life sciences sector. She joins from Lazard, where she was an Analyst in the Healthcare team, supporting M&A across biopharma, medtech and healthcare services. Crystal pairs finance with a strong scientific background, including two years researching Alzheimer's disease at the University of Auckland. She holds a first-class Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford.

Alex joined Delin in 2026 to lead design initiatives, starting with websites across Delin and its wider portfolio. He led the redesign of the Delin Ventures website and is now bringing the same consistent look and feel to Delin's presentations and marketing materials across Ventures and Property. A UX designer by background, he holds a BA in Design from the University of California, Davis, and has worked in UX research at Skillsoft and UX design at Flagler Health.

Larry is a technology investor and operator. He recently served as CEO of EdTech and Food at Prosus, and before that as CEO of Naspers Ventures and Prosus Ventures, Interim CEO of PayU and COO of Naspers e-commerce, leading more than $3 billion of investment in education technology. Earlier, he held senior roles at eBay and Trulia. He has served on boards including Skillsoft, Codecademy, Udemy, Brainly, Swiggy and iFood. Larry holds BA and MBA degrees from UC Berkeley.

Christopher has advised Delin Ventures since its inception and sits on the Investment Committee and board of Delin Ventures Life Sciences. With more than 40 years in venture capital, he started his career at the firm now known as Cinven and was a founder and Partner of Atlas Venture from 1987 to 2011. An active angel investor, he sits on the boards of uMed, Vidsy and Plum Guide, and is a board observer at ONSI. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from the University of Oxford.
